My Family

My perspective, priority, and value for these relationships is very different than it was 20 years ago. I am blessed that my family has shown so much more patience and grace than I deserved.

DeLana E. Quinn

DeLana and I met in Wilmington at church. We were both married at the time. DeLana was the director of children's choir, and Richard and her son Thomas were members.
Several months later, we were both separated and and going through the divorce process. She was also working for DuPont. We dated for a while, then I relocated to Cleveland. Nine months later, she accepted my proposal, resigned from DuPont, and we were married in Cleveland. Coincidentally, her parents were both long-term employees with DuPont at the Beaumont, TX and Savannah River, SC facilities.

My lovable and zany wife

Jerry Majors-Patterson

After high school, where she was active in the marching band, Jerry attended the University of Arkansas and completed a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering. She worked part-time at the campus book store and got interested in Apple computers and products.
After graduation, she accepted an entry level engineering job with DuPont in Wilmington DE. She did not enjoy her work, and much preferred what she was doing with computers and Apple. Demonstrating unbelivable conviction and courage, she resigned, loaded all her possessions in a 15 foot Uhaul truck and drove cross country toward Cupertino CA.
After a couple of part-time contract assignments, she was hired by Apple. She has been with them 23+ years now. We are extremely proud of her.
She married Ken Patterson in 2008. They actively participate in the San Francisco Bay Area Pride Band, enjoy anything sci-fi, the arts, and entertaining at home in San Jose.

Jackson R. Quinn

Jackson's birth followed a couple of hospital trips for Nicole and involved some risk. Praise God that both are well and healthy.
